I had a blood test done this past spring for food sensitivities that can cause inflammation throughout the body and the list of foods surprised me. Gluten, perhaps a no-brainer, but also carrots, garlic, kale, string beans, raspberries -- some of my staples. I feel much better after eliminating them.
