I had the same reaction when my neighbor put up a Trump flag this summer. I don't understand the anger. It got me upset but finally I decided to continue to bring them flowes from my garden in the hope that I could someday turn them around. Unfortunately, this kind of hate is spreading and I would be naive to think it's going away. I hope you can find a sense of peace amid this.
