I'm moved by your story because I have seen similar treatment from your perspectives. My first real job when I turned 16 was as a nurse's aide in a nursing home and I was floored by how residents were treated by the staff, ignored by family, etc. Then when mother was in rehab I saw it again, 50 years later. If I hadn't been there to advocate for her, I don't think she would have gotten out of there alive.
