Learn to Write Winning Essays with Roz Warren
Join the Crow’s Feet-sponsored workshop series
This series of workshops is designed for nonfiction writers on the Medium platform who want to give and receive feedback on works-in-progress with the goal of producing terrific stories. It is led by Roz Warren, Writing Coach.
Each week we’ll go over the stories you’ve submitted with an emphasis on topic, title, tone, writing quality, and structure. Roz will provide detailed feedback about what works and what needs to be worked on, with solid suggestions about how to make the necessary changes.
Workshop participants will be expected to read each other’s work and offer constructive feedback. You’ll end up with at least one finished essay. And you’ll have fun writing it with the help of this group of engaged and supportive writers.
Writing a good story isn’t rocket science. If you’re willing to draft, redraft, and truly listen to feedback, you can do it!
The number of participants is limited to eight; a minimum of six is required.
Fees for this workshop support the nonprofit 501(c)3 organization Crow’s Feet: Life As We Age, its online journal of essays, and its biweekly podcast, as well as the workshop leader.

Meet Roz Warren, Workshop Leader
Workshop leader Roz Warren is an editor-for-hire, book doctor, and writing coach who works one-on-one with writers to upgrade and publish their work. She specializes in helping Medium writers craft engaging and boost-able essays.
Roz has written for everyone from the Funny Times to The New York Times, and has appeared on both the Today Show and Morning Edition. She now publishes primarily on Medium, where she has 15.3K followers. Her Medium publication, Ask an Editor: Writing Advice from a Pro, collects her essays on everything from punctuation to publication, with an emphasis on achieving Medium success.
