We’re breaking out here at Crow’s Feet and expanding our message about life as we age to a larger audience. Here’s what we’re up to:

Facebook

First of all, we’ve opened the Crow’s Feet Facebook Group to all writers and readers who enjoy discussing the many aspects of life as we age. If you haven’t joined us yet, you can ask to join the group by clicking here. Once you’ve been accepted as a member, you can invite your friends to join us too.

Podcast

We’re also cooking up a Crow’s Feet Podcast that will explore issues about life as we age. We’re smoothing out some technical issues right now and would love to find a volunteer who could do the post-production of the podcast. If you are familiar with the audio editing software Audacity, or with equalizing the audio, we want you on our team. Please contact us at crowsfeet8@gmail.com if you’re interested.

Writing Class

Crow’s Feet writer Cindy Heath is offering a free writing class on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 4pm EST on Zoom. To register, please send your name to crowsfeet8@gmail.com.

Cindy has been writing articles, blog posts and website content for businesses and professionals full-time since 2016. She is a prolific writer on Medium, publishing content on gardening, healthy living, writing, and more. She also teaches for the Ninja Writers organization and for individual writers, too.

In this one-hour class, Cindy will provide a basic overview of how to effectively write for the Medium platform. You will learn how to:

* Create an effective headline and subtitle

* Learn the types of article formats that readers prefer on Medium

* How writing for online reading differs from the essay writing you learned in school

* And you will get an easy-to-follow template to make your Medium writing easier and some recommended resources.

New Writing Prompt

We were inspired by International Women’s Day to issue Writing Prompt # 2, this one about the changes you have seen in the past 60+ years in terms of women and their contributions to society. Click here to read the full prompt. Please be sure to include Prompt #2 in the subheading of your article and tag it “Crows Feet Writing Prompt.”

We’ve received a few more stories in the past week on the subject of retirement, the prompt we launched two weeks ago. You can read those great stories below.

Don’t miss out on all the great other stories that appear currently in Crow’s Feet. Click here to visit the publication any time — there’s always fresh stories about life as we age for you to read.
